Human Resources Manager

Our client, Montgomery County SPCA based in Conshohocken, PA, is seeking a Human Resources Manager to strengthen the employee experience, champion organizational culture, and support the senior leadership team as they grow this three-facility organization. What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage all day-to-day HR operations, from recruiting and onboarding to benefits, compliance, training, and employee relations.
  • Partner with leaders across departments to cultivate a positive, engaged, and mission-aligned culture.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant HR records, policies, and organizational documents.
  • Oversee payroll processing, time-off administration, benefits programs, and staff development initiatives.
  • Support managers with employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Guide recruitment efforts to attract and retain high-quality, values-driven team members.
  • Manage personnel issues, ensure compliance with state and federal laws, and uphold MCSPCA policies and guidelines.
  • Monitor HR metrics and support ongoing organizational improvement.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field – HR certification (SHRM, HRCI) preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive human resources experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, payroll platforms, and Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • A high level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
  • A passion for supporting people who support animals.
